How far in advance should I book?
Weddings usually book 6–12 months out (Saturdays from May to October go first). Events are best booked 3–6 weeks ahead, and brand shoots 1–2 weeks ahead.
How do I lock in my date?
Weddings are secured with a signed contract and a 30% retainer, with the balance due 14 days before the big day. Events and brand shoots are 50% to book, with the balance due before delivery. The Kiwi Monthly is billed at the start of each month.
What if I need to reschedule or cancel?
Retainers are non-refundable, but life happens. Wedding retainers transfer once to a new date within 12 months (if I'm available), and brand shoots can be rescheduled once for free with 72 hours' notice. Weddings cancelled within 30 days owe the full balance.
Do you travel?
Absolutely. Travel within 60 km of Burlington — including Hamilton, Oakville, Mississauga and Toronto — is included. Beyond that it's a flat $100 or $250 depending on the distance, and destination work is custom quoted.
How does The Kiwi Monthly work?
It starts with a 3-month minimum so your content has time to build momentum, then continues month to month. Cancel any time with 30 days' notice.
Do you replace my photographer or videographer?
Nope — I'm the bonus round. They create the heirlooms; I capture the fast, candid, behind-the-scenes content made for your phone and your socials.
How fast will I get everything?
Wedding and event sneak peeks arrive within 24 hours and full galleries within 48. Brand content lands in 48–72 hours (3–5 days for a Full Content Day). Need it sooner? Rush turnaround is +$150.
Do I get the raw files?
Yes! Every usable photo and clip, not just the edits. Your download link stays live for 30 days, so save everything somewhere safe.
Can I use the content for paid ads?
Brand content is licensed for your organic social channels. Paid ads, print or packaging use can be added to any package — just ask.
Will you post it for me?
My packages cover creating and editing. Posting, scheduling and captions can be quoted separately if you'd like it all handled.
Will you be on your phone all night?
Yes — it's literally the job. But I blend in like a guest, which is exactly why the content feels so natural. Nobody freezes up for an iPhone.
Do you join the dance floor?
Where do you think the best content comes from? I'll be right in the middle of it (professionally, of course).
Will I need to feed you?
For coverage of 5 hours or more, a vendor meal is appreciated — it keeps me fuelled for the dance floor. Coffee is always welcome too. Always.
Are your Australian Shepherds coming?
Sadly, no. They're very disappointed about it. But they'll hear all about your day when I get home.
